Maureen Hawke chairs Bright Start Publishing Pty Ltd, an Australian-registered company, and is the developer of Bright Start's programmes.
She has been directly involved in child development work for the past 25 years.
She joined the non-profit organisation Learning Connections (then called A New Start for the Under Achiever – ANSUA) in 1977. She has been director of its Brisbane learning centre in Queensland, Australia, since 1985.
Maureen travels extensively, training teachers in ways to promote child development. More than 5000 teachers and in Australia and worldwide have attended her seminars.
She has presented papers on child development at international conferences, is a registered nurse and in her earlier career worked in paediatric nursing. She was born in New Zealand, moving to Australia in 1967. She lives with her family, including her pre-school granddaughter – who's a beneficiary of all the activities detailed in the Bright Start Programme!

Graeme Colman, Managing Director |

Graeme Colman is Bright Start's Managing Director.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Graeme is married with three adult children.
He has worked in media and communications since 1967, has been an award winning journalist, top-rating radio talk back host, newspaper Editor and manager and in 1990 worked in the New Zealand Prime Minister's Office.
He was a member of New Zealand's 1988 America's Cup Challenge team.
Bryan Bartholomew, of the United Kingdom, is Bright Start's creative director.
He has worked for more than 30 years at the highest levels of the UK's competitive and fast paced advertising industry.
He is multi skilled in communications crafts, including project management from brief to creative concept and final production. He is also an expert in film animation, cartoon character origination, scripting, story boards and graphic design and illustration.
Bryan started working on Bright Start while in Australia in 2000.
